Google put Tensor G6 in every Pixel 11 phone. In the Pixel 11 series announcement, Google calls Tensor G6 its fastest, most powerful chip yet. The company pairs it with a new Titan M3 security chip for post-quantum secure boot.

Faster browsing, quicker on-device AI

Google says Tensor G6 delivers 25% faster web browsing and 15% quicker app launches than Tensor G5 at launch. Those numbers come from Google’s own pre-production tests. So treat them as Google’s claim, not an independent bench.

Then there is the TPU. Google packed 50% more TPU compute into Tensor G6 and paired it with the latest Gemini Nano model. Specifically, on-device AI tasks run up to 3.5 times faster and use up to 3.5 times less energy, Google says.

That extra silicon also shows up in the camera stack. Tensor G6 powers 30x Super Zoom on Pixel 11’s 5x telephoto. The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL get Pro Zoom at 120x. As a result, Night Sight now captures up to four and a half times faster after an ISP upgrade plus new sensors.

Titan M3 locks the boot path

Google did not publish the process node or core layout. Instead, it talks about the security pairing. Titan M3 and Tensor G6 form what Google calls its most robust defense system yet. The pair brings post-quantum cryptography to secure boot on the phone. Google has not published a Tensor G6 teardown. Public numbers stop at browsing, app launch, TPU, and energy.

Meanwhile the Pixel 11 Pro Fold uses the same Tensor G6 chip, plus 16GB of RAM. Also, all four Pixel 11 models get seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates.

Google Store US starting prices are $899 for Pixel 11, $1,099 for Pixel 11 Pro, and $1,299 for Pixel 11 Pro XL. Pre-orders are open now, and Google says the phones reach stores on August 20.
